One of our older learners is working towards his Level 2 Functional Skills for English, developing reading and writing skills purposeful for life. We took the opportunity to process and follow instructions and then rewrite them using his new found touch typing and editing skills. Previously, spelling difficulties would have made his work hard to read, but with a morphological approach, alongside key spelling patterns, he has been able to write instructions for building the planters going in our new indoor garden! ðŸŠī ðŸĐ·ðŸ’›ðŸ’š
